Hudson Risk Advisors uses a comprehensive carrier network to help public entities design and implement their insurance programs to plan for and mitigate losses in property, liability, and workers compensation.

Covers injuries to other drivers, passengers and vehicles. Auto Liability also covers damage to public property that is caused by an accident. A minimum of $750,000 CSL is required by state and federal agencies. Most contracts require $1,000,000 in coverage.

Covers damages to your truck and trailer, such as repairs, replacement costs or in the event of an over-turning. There are two sub-types of coverage:

Comprehensive – provides protection from damages to your vehicle by something other than a collision, such as fire, burglary, or vandalism.

Collision – provides protection if your vehicle is damaged in an accident, or is hit by an object.

Coverage provides protection for the transporter in the event cargo is damaged or lost freight. Most contracts require a minimum of $100,000 in coverage.

Protection against claims arising from acts that occur by your drivers within the scope of their business activities for your company that typically occur when not driving.

Reefer breakdown insurance protects against refrigerated cargo spoilage due to a mechanical or equipment failure or accident.

Provides independent truck drivers with medical coverage and lost wage coverage (indemnity) for work related accidents. This coverage is instead of Worker’s Compensation coverage.

Provides insurance for medical expenses and lost wages for work related accidents and is required by law in most states when employers reach a certain number of employees.

Covers physical damage for an unowned trailer that you are hauling.

Covers a vehicle that is rented or hired by your business and passengers.
